Since I've been unable to sit at the computer for any length of time the last few days, I watched my Crochet Me Workshop: Mosaic Crochet with Lily Chin DVD for a refresher. Cognitive and vision issues have been causing much difficulty following step by step instructions, so I mistakenly adapted the dropped i stitch in two different variations, but with pleasing results if I manage to continue in the same pattern :). This project should take awhile as I'm only using a 4 mm (US G/6) crochet hook to make a super warm blanket without the bulk. The smaller hook does make it more difficult on my arms, hands and back, so frequent breaks are necessary. The yarn is Aran Fleck, 96% acrylic, Red Heart Super Saver in worsted medium 4. I like the natural look of this yarn and chose to use just the one colour.
I just remembered this is my 500th post. Big Whoop! lol

Very impressive start to your blanket. I haven't crocheted in years, so I couldn't see the dropped stitch. It is gorgeous.
Thanks for stopping by earlier tonight. I hope you can see the image now. Thanks for pointing it out to me.
Thanks Bleubeard. I'll be sure to post the completed blanket. I should clarify. I didn't drop a stitch, the mosaic stitch used is called a dropped "i" and I didn't do it as instructed, but like my variations anyway ;).

500th post - that's reason to celebrate!!
Congratulations Michelle!
I love this blanket. My mom crocheted me an all cream afghan and it's so beautiful!
One thing about you that I really admire is that when you're having problems in one area, you find a way to be creative in another. You are such a warrior.
Thanks Judy. It's nice to be thought of that way, but most days I feel more like a whiner than a warrior. lol
