I once hand quilted a postcard using this image. I'm honoured I was able to meet Milosh the artist and capture this piece of his art before they both returned to the soil. Milosh died Aug. 16, 2002 on the 25th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. Gone but not forgotten.
Submission to the week of Feb. 27-Mar. 4, 2012 IA Challenge - "allegory". [note: I misread the challenge and see it was supposed to be "allegory of spring". Ah well :).]

I had a TON of problems with this challenge, but yours seems to really fit the bill. How awesome the memories of this image must be for you!
I love this carving, full of soul and the words are a meaningful enhancement. Great for this week's IA challenge!

Beautiful words and the carving is so perfect for the Spring theme!
Awesome, so full of meaning! The carving is very striking, also the point that both the artist and the artwork are gone!
Wow, thanks for sharing this, Michelle. Amazing, soulful...beautiful. And your poem is the perfect compliment.
