With a budding interest in quilting, an idea developed to create a quilt for Soul Journey. I designed and hand-quilted my first and only quilt including our symbol of butterflies, to flit among members who signed up for an impromptu tour. This Soul Journey Quilt along with a blank journal began travelling across North America on May 23, 2008. It shared our friendship, support and love through nine states and one province and yesterday completed the tour by landing in my mailbox.
To all my Soul Journey Sisters - I appreciate your friendship. A big Thank You to those who took part in the tour. Holding the quilt again while reading through the journal now filled with love, hope, encouragement, pictures and stories has brought tears of joy on a day when it was greatly needed.

That quilt is beautiful. You did a great job. Did people sign it, or work on it as it went around to all the participants? And of course, the book is so romantic looking. I'd love to see a few of the inside pages.
Thanks Bleubeard and Elizabeth. I did all the quilting and then each participant filled a few pages of the book with creativity, stories, poems, photos etc. to share with the rest of the group :).

A beautiful idea and wonderful work! There's something I love about the idea of people adding to a piece and passing it on. I'm sure this will be treasured for years to come.
